METHODOLOGY

How TI and HI describe capacity

TI is cartons per layer. HI is the number of upright layers. This page consumes the exact same Pallet Core result as Pallet Fit; it does not duplicate the formula.

Formula

Cartons per pallet = TI × HILoaded height = HI × carton height

Pallets required is available when shipment quantity exists and fit is non-zero.

Worked example

ZERO FIT

If TI or HI is zero, capacity is 0. Utilization is not emitted, and loaded height or pallets required are not presented as normal valid loading outputs.

Assumptions & limits

This is the same bounded geometric estimate as Pallet Fit. It does not assess load strength, stability, safe stacking, mixed orientations, overhang or transport regulations.
