CBM Calculator

Calculate carton volume in cubic metres and continue with the same My Shipment data.

METHODOLOGY

How ShipmentPrep calculates CBM

CBM means cubic metres. ShipmentPrep converts each source dimension to canonical metres, performs exact multiplication, then rounds only for presentation.

Formula

CBM = length × width × height × quantity

Unit volume uses one carton. Shipment volume applies the carton quantity.

Worked example

Inputs500 × 400 × 300 mm; quantity 10
Unit volume0.06 m³
Shipment volume0.60 m³

What the result means

CBM describes occupied volume. It is not a weight, freight quote or shipping cost.

Assumptions & limits

The calculation treats the carton as a rectangular box and uses the dimensions you enter. Presentation rounding does not replace the unrounded canonical value used by connected calculations.
